The Times Herald Vallejo, CITY OF AMERICAN CANYON CITY COUNCIL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING On Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at 6:30 p.m., at 4381 Broadway, Suite 201 (in the American Canyon City Council Chambers), a public hearing will be held by the City Council of the City of American Canyon to consider the following application: APPLICATION: Consider an Interim Urgency Ordinance Imposing a 10-month, 15-day Temporary Moratorium on the Development, Establishment, and Operation of Wireless Telecommunication Facilities on public rights-of-way within the City of American Canyon. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The ordinance would result in a temporary moratorium on the Development, Establishment, and Operation of Wireless Telecommunication Facilities on public rights-of-way within the City of American Canyon to allow staff sufficient time to conduct research, public outreach, and potentially develop new regulations to present to the City Council. ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW: The ordinance is not subject to the California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") pursuant to Section 15060(c)(2) because the activity will not result in a direct or reasonably foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment; and Section 15060(c)(3) because the activity is not a project as defined in Section 15378 of the CEQA Guidelines, California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Chapter 3 because it has no potential for resulting in physical change to the environment, directly or indirectly. The Times Herald Vallejo, CITY OF AMERICAN CANYON CITY COUNCIL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING On Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at 6:30 p.m., at 4381 Broadway, Suite 201 (in the American Canyon City Council Chambers), a public hearing will be held by the City Council of the City of American Canyon to consider the following application: APPLICATION: Consider first reading of an Emergency Ordinance adding a new section "Speed Limits" to Title 10 - Vehicles and Traffic of the American Canyon Municipal Code. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The ordinance would establish Prevailing Speed Limits in special areas around sensitive populations (such as schools) and on Larger, high volume streets. In addition, the ordinance would meet the California Vehicle Code (CVC) (Section 22350) requirement that a survey be conducted every five (5) years to determine "prevailing speed". The survey also meets CVC requirements for speed enforcement.
