PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The ordinance would establish Prevailing Speed Limits in special areas around sensitive populations (such as schools) and on Larger, high volume streets. In addition, the ordinance would meet the California Vehicle Code (CVC) (Section 22350) requirement that a survey be conducted every five (5) years to determine "prevailing speed". The survey also meets CVC requirements for speed enforcement.
