Reaffirmation of Previous Environmental Assessment b. Time Extension Time extension request to extend the approval of the Spring Lane Unit 2 tentative map and planned development. The Spring Lane Unit 2 project was originally approved in 2006 and an application for a time extension was approved in 2008. The approved project consists of a 27-lot, custom home development located east of Alamo Drive at the end of Spring Lane. The single-family residential development is located within a 54-acre site. The proposal is to subdivide a 14-acre project area into a residential estate subdivision. The remaining 40 acres of the project site will be preserved as permanent open space via a recorded conservation easement. The residential area is zoned RE-12 (Minimum 12,000 sq. ft. lots) and RL-6 (Minimum 6,000 sq. ft. lots). A design review application will be required for the construction of each custom home. The proposed tentative map, planned development, conditions of approval, and Mitigated Negative Declaration are essentially the same as approved in 2006. The applicant is requesting the Planning Commission to reaffirm the previous environmental assessment and to approve the tentative map and planned development second time extension. All persons interested in these matters are invited to be present and submit statements orally or in writing during the public hearing. The environmental documents are available for review at, and further information may be obtained from the Community Development Department, 650 Merchant Street, during regular business hours. North Valley Classifieds, Notice of Public Hearing The Oroville City Elementary School District will hold a public hearing regarding the sufficiency of textbooks and instructional materials in each subject that are consistent with the content and cycles of the curriculum frameworks as adopted by the State Board of Education. The Oroville City Elementary School District Board of Trustees will be asked to certify that the District has complied with provisions in Education Code §60119 for funds received under the Pupil Textbook and Instructional Materials Incentive Program and/or funds from any State source in grades K-8 for the 2016-2017 fiscal year. Each pupil in the district, grades K-8, has been provided with a standards aligned textbook or basic instructional materials to be able to take home required for homework in each of the following areas: Language Arts Math Science Social Studies In addition, at the middle school level there is a sufficiency of textbooks in health and foreign language which can also be taken home for homework. These instructional materials were purchased from an approved standards-aligned adoption list as required by CCR, Title 5, Section 9531. The local governing board provided each pupil with these standards based materials as required by Education Code Sections 60422(a) and 60422.1. This certification is required in order to receive funding for the Pupil Textbook and Instructional Materials Incentive Program (Education Code §60252). Woodland Daily Democrat, PUBLIC NOTICE CITY OF WOODLAND CONSOLIDATED ANNUAL PERFORMANCE REPORT FOR FY 2015/16 Notice is hereby given that the City of Woodland's Community Services Department has completed its Consolidated Annual Performance Evaluation Report (CAPER) for the period of July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016. The CAPER concerns the overall use of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds received from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in relationship to the needs of the community as outlined in its Consolidated Plan. The City's overall objective in the CDBG program is the development of viable communities by providing decent housing, a suitable living environment, and expansion of economic opportunities primarily for low-to-moderate income persons. All persons interested in reviewing the CAPER may inspect the report at the City of Woodland, Community and Senior Center, 2001 East St., Woodland, CA 95776 or at www.cityofwoodland.org. The District is proposing to amend Rule 2.14 to conform to the 2007 suggested control measure (SCM) from the State Air Resources Board. Paradise Post, BUTTE COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING POWERBUTTE SOLAR OVERLAY ZONE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Butte County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing regarding the PowerButte Solar Overlay Zone program on Thursday, September 22, 2016, at 10:00 am, or shortly thereafter, in the Butte County Board of Supervisors Room, County Administrative Center, 25 County Center Drive, Oroville, CA. PowerButte is a grant funded Butte County initiative to encourage large scale solar energy development in suitable locations in unincorporated Butte County. Large scale solar energy facilities are defined as facilities ranging in size from ten to potentially several hundred acres that provide power directly to a utility. This hearing will continue an ongoing community discussion about the future of large scale solar energy development in the unincorporated area of Butte County. Development Services staff and PlaceWorks consulting will provide presentations on the draft Overlay Approach regarding updates to the Zoning Ordinance and the location of the Solar Overlay Zone. The Planning Commission will be asked to make a recommendation regarding the draft Overlay Approach to the Board of Supervisors. This public hearing is open to the public who are encouraged to attend and provide comment.
